Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala’s first electric auto rickshaw Kerala Neem G manufactured by Kerala Automobile Limited (KAL) is reaching roads of Nepal from this November. A set 25 electric vehicles are shipped from Kerala Automobile Limited’s Plant at Aralummoodu, Neyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday, 20 October. Two trucks will arrive with consignment in Nepal within 12 days.
Industries Minister EP Jayarajan flagged off Kerala Neem G auto rickshaws in the presence of KAL Chairman Karamana Hari, Managing Director A Shajahan, Chairman, Public Sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board (RIAB) N. Sasidharan Nair and Officials of KAL and RIAB.

Also aiming to export 500 e-autos to Nepal. Along considering to export KAL e-auto to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Kenya. Kerala Neem G are being sold to Nepal for Rs. 2.85 Lakhs, same rate as in India.
Along with that Government of Kerala is planning to start a new project to provide e-vehicle for women across all districts of Kerala.
