Thiruvananthapuram: Geeks At Developing Solutions commonly referred as GADS is a student start-up registered under Technology Business Incubator at Government Engineering College Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram. It is a student start-up aiming to make revolutions in the field of digitalization, marketing and up-skilling.


    GADS consist of a group of like-minded people who emphasizes mainly on their personal and technical improvement.


    Main Team members include: Gokul C M, Shaino Sajimon, Akhiljith K, Devanand A.


    Apart from this they are having a team of 10 members from various interdisciplinary branches including  Abhishek V M, Abhijith Udayakumar, P S Aiswaryalakshmi, Areena S Jayan, Hisana Thasneem, Malavika M Hari, Meenu V, Nayana S, Nithya Satheesh and Vishnu V.


    GADS aims at providing precise technological solutions. It provides high standard cross platform mobile applications and responsive web development services. It also provides workshops, webinars and internships for students. They have been collaborating with many organizations and collages for workshops and webinars.


    One of their main works includes the "Break the Chain Diary" which is a mobile application, digital diary that can be used during this pandemic crisis to record individual's travel history. The application received more than 5000+ downloads in play store within two week after it was uploaded in the Google Play Store. The application has an auto-fill and manual features with location, date and time and can add images to recollect your travel history.


    Honourable Thiruvananthapuram MP Dr Shashi Tharoor had shared a video of the application on his social media page and congratulated these young entrepreneurs by tweeting:

    "Congrats GADS, a startup by students of Govt. Engineering College, Barton Hill, Thiruvananthapuram, for inventing "#BreakTheChainDiary", a digital method to easily note the travel history of a person for #Covid19 contact tracing".


    They are having almost 15 collaborations and the recent one involves "Interface-NIT" collaboration as a part of Thathva 2020 by NIT Calicut, through which they are having a three week workshop on various topics including Ethical hacking, Deep learning and Web development.
