Apple is all set to transform its devices to mini-LED technology and reports say that mini-LED MacBook Air is expected to arrive in 2022. The mini-LED somewhat act like an in between of LCD and LED and will include the advantages of both the technologies such as reduced production cost, improved contrast, brightness and more.
According to the DigiTimes report, sources expect that Apple's 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro expected to release in 2021 will be equipped with mini-LED displays and adoption of mini-LED will be expanded to MacBook Air products in 2022.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Apple is expected to launch 14-inch MacBook Pro in a latest design by the third quarter of this year. These models with mini-LED displays will offer increased brightness, rich colours and more.
Apple has recently patented a MacBook keyboard with mini displays on them which has dynamic labels that change according to users.
Kuo is hopeful and confident that over the next three years, sales of Apple MacBook would grow by 100 percent with around 35 million shipments per year. The reason for the growth being the Apple's silicon chip set and new designs expected to arrive.
