Sony Launched it's Most Advanced Camera Alpha-1: Mirrorless with 50.1 MegaPixel Image Sensor in India.

Sony Alpha-1 full frame mirrorless camera with 50.1 megapixel full frame stacked Exmor RS image sensor and up to 8K 30fps video recording has been launched in India.

As proclaimed by the company, it is their most advanced and innovative camera and its Realtime Eye AF performs about 30 percent better than previous generation cameras. It also features an OLED quad- XGA electronic viewfinder and uses AI based real-time tracking to maintain focus automatically.

  • The Sony Alpha-1 has 50.1 megapixel 35mm full frame stacked CMOS sensor. It uses BIONZXR engine for processing images.
  • The camera can record at 8K 30 fps and 4K 120 fps with ISO 100 to 32,000.
  • Performs 30 fps shooting continuously with AF/AE tracking and fast hybrid auto focus.
  • 1.6cm electronic viewfinder and 2.95 inches touch adjustable TFT display.
  • Long exposure noise reduction is provided.
  • Inbuilt microphone.
  • Can capture 8,640 X 5,670 pixels at 49.7 megapixel at 3:2 aspect ratio.
  • Mechanically/Electronically controlled shutter and silent shooting feature.

The company claims that Alpha-1 has been rated for around 430 shots with viewfinder and around 530 shots with LCD display.

As per the rating of BH Photo Video, it is priced at $6,498 (around 4.73 lakhs INR) in the US and as it is yet to arrive in India, there has not been any information about its price in India.
