Launch of Geo Imaging Satellite or GISAT-1 which was scheduled to launch on 28 March is postponed to April 18 by ISRO. Minor issues with the satellite is causing delay as per sources. Also weather conditions  don't support the launch.

Initially it was planned to launch on 5th of March last year from Sriharikota but due to technical reasons and Covid-19 pandemic, which effected the normal functioning, delayed GISAT onboard GSLV-F10 rocket.

GISAT will be positioned in geostationary orbit, about 36,000 km above earths equator with a high temporal resolution meant for providing near real time imaging with fast revisit capacity and real time imaging with fast revisit capacity and real time monitoring over Indian region.
