Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has invited applications for the recruitment of 97 Field engineer and Supervisor posts. Eligible candidates can apply through its official website powergrid.in . Candidates can apply till May 9, 2021.
This recruitment is temporary and is under a contractual basis for a period of 24 months initially or till the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
There are a total of 97 technical posts to be filled up in the organisation.
Field engineer (Electrical) have 30 posts, Field Engineer (Civil) have 8 posts, Field Supervisor (Electrical) have 47 posts and Field Supervisor (Civil) have 12 posts to be filled.
Date of application had started from 26th April and the last date to apply is May 9, 2021. Date of examination and Interview will be notified later.

Eligibility: Candidates should be in the age limit of 29 years and should have a field experience for one year.
Educational Qualification:
- For field engineer (Electrical) - Full time B. E/B. Tech/B. Sc (Engg.) in Electrical discipline or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS and pass marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- For field engineer (Civil) - Full time B. E/B. Tech/B. Sc (Engg.) in Civil discipline or equivalent from recognized University/Institute with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS/ST and pass marks for SC candidates.
- For Field Supervisor (Electrical) - Full time Diploma from recognized technical Board/Institute with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS and pass marks for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
- For Field Supervisor (Civil) - Full time Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized technical Board/Institute with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC(NCL)/EWS/ST and pass marks for SC candidates.
- Candidates with higher technical qualifications like B. Tech/B.E/M. Tech/M.E etc cannot apply for the post of Field Supervisors.
Selection process: Candidates for the post of field engineers who are eligible and shortlisted are selected through Interview. And if required management can raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and/or can conduct a screening test to restrict the number of candidates for Personal Interview.
Field supervisor selection is based on the review of applications mainly on the eligibility criteria and desired experience profile and after review of application, candidates must pass written test. Candidates who are qualified on the written test are empanelled in the order of the merit of marks obtained.
Application fee: Candidates should pay a fee of Rs. 400 to apply for Field Engineer and Rs. 300 for Field supervisor. SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM candidates are exempted from the payment of Application fee.
