PUBG mobile is terminating access for Indian users from today. Ban on 118 apps by Government of India on September this year lead to removal of PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite from Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Still game remained accessible for those, who already had installed them. From today onwards company terminates all services and users access in India to PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite.

“We deeply regret this outcome and sincerely thank you for your support and love for PUBG Mobile in India”, company said in Facebook post on Thursday.

India banned PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite under section 69A of Information Technology Act 2009. Government had banned Tik Tok and several other Chinese apps.

Protecting user data has always been a top priority and we have always complied with applicable data protection laws and regulations in India.

- PUBG Mobile India said.

For removal of ban, they tried to cut ties with Tencent, game’s publishing and distribution partner in India. But failed to address safety concerns.
