Vi Emerged as Fastest Mobile Network in India and Jio leads India in terms of 4G availability.

New Delhi: Vodafone Idea, also known as Vi, has become the fastest mobile network in India in the third quarter of 2020 while Jio led the list of 4G availability among top service providers, according to a report by network analyst and speed testing firm, Ookla.
As per the report by Ookla, Vi offered an average download speed of 13.74Mbps and and average upload speed of 6.19Mbps in the third quarter of this year. It is followed by Airtel with a download speed of 13.58Mbps and upload speed of 4.15Mbps. Jio acquired third position with a download speed of 9.71Mbps and upload speed of 3.41Mbps.
Even though, Vi has the fastest mobile network in the country, it was Jio that had emerged as the highest in terms of 4G availability in India. Jio has the highest 4G availability of about 99.7% in India during Q3 of 2020.
Additionally, the report also talks about mobile network speeds within India which vary for different places. Hyderabad has the fastest average mobile download speed of 14.35Mbps followed by Mumbai at 13.55Mbps and Visakhapatnam at 13.40Mbps.
