Signal App has began developing new features which are already available on WhatsApp. A few days ago, new changes have come into notice after a huge number of people downloaded the app. Signal became popular when WhatsApp updated it's privacy policy which has led to the outrage. Signal's new beta version brings chat wallpapers that mimic WhatsApp experience. It could also add an 'About' option like the one we use in WhatsApp which allows users to tell their contacts about their status. To access that go to Settings>Profile option.
WhatsApp beta tracker, WABetaInfo noticed that Signal 5.3.1 beta for android carries it's new chat wallpaper feature. In order to use that go to Settings>Appearance>Chat wallpaper. This feature provides 21 pre-set wallpapers also users can choose their images as wallpapers. There is an option to use dark theme as chat wallpaper. The latest version on WhatsApp includes custom wallpapers which they introduced the previous month.
Signal is adding support for animated stickers with an official sticker pack, 'Day by Day' in it's new update. WABetaInfo also noted that alike WhatsApp, Signal desktop allows users to create and share new animated stickers. On WhatsApp this feature arrived in July 2020 and now it is adopting ways to import third party animated stickers in the following weeks.
Signal is going to implement another feature, a low data mode for calls. This is an exact copy of WhatsApp feature. The app would also allow users to view their chats on an iOS share sheet which WhatsApp adopted last year for iPhone users.
A week ago, Signal imported an option which could let users to choose when their media files should automatically downloaded.
Also recently this app has changed the limit on group calls from five to eight. Thus Signal imitated WhatsApp experiences. On Facebook owned app, the limit was increased to eight in April.
Updated version of Signal App is said to have the option to generate shareable group invite link. This also works same like we invite people to our groups on WhatsApp.
