Samsung announced latest update on Samsung Galaxy smartphones which makes it easier for Blockchain users to trade visual assets from third party wallets. They can import visual assets stored in select cold hardware wallets to Samsung Blockchain wallet on the phone, thus managing and processing the transactions.

In addition to Blockchain key store, Galaxy phones are now able to connect to hardware wallets like the latest trends in Cryptocurrency with newsfeed. The exclusive newsfeed will feature articles from top blockchain news outlet, Coindesk.

To manage visual assets securely, the blockchain solutions are made by defence-grade Samsung Knox security platform. The information (private keys) used for cryptocurrency and Decentralised apps (DApps) are encrypted and stored away from the main operating system called the Samsung Blockchain Key store. The asset owner can use his PIN or fingerprint to access the additional processor.

The Blockchain wallet was first launched in Galaxy S10 in 2019, and could support most popular cryptocurrencies including Bitcoins, Ethereum, ERC token, Tron (TRX) and TRC tokens. DApps which use blockchain technology to verify the exchange of digital assets can also be now accessible to Galaxy users. Samsung allows to explore latest DApps for games, social media, finance, security and offer recommendations for various categories for the users.

Samsung has opened access to its Blockchain ecosystem with Samsung Blockchain SDK. Developers can build DApps that create, store and manage blockchain accounts easily and process the transactions with APIs exclusive to each ledger system. Samsung thus believes and creates innovation through an open and collaborative approach.
