Defence Research and Development Organization stated that they are going to provide two short time online courses on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and online training and certification course on cybersecurity. These programmes would be arranged by the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) which is a deemed university and it is an autonomous organization funded by the Defence PSU.
These are 12-weeks long courses which comprises of 2-hour sessions for 5 days a week.
Selected students for the program on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will be trained on probability theory, pattern recognition, big data analytics, computer vision, natural language processing, augmented reality, deep learning and other fundamental and advanced AI/ML topics.

Those who are interested to attend the courses will have to take an entrance test conducted on 20th February. Eligibility criteria for attending the exam is that they should hold a graduate degree in any stream. test will be based on their programming knowledge, basics of algorithm , databases ,data structure, statistics, probability , and modular mathematics.
Cybersecurity will be dealing with fundamentals and advanced topics such as forensic and incident response, system programming, reverse engineering and malware analysis, exploit mitigation and penetration testing. During this 12-week course students are also trained on tools and techniques required for cybersecurity.
For attending this programme as well, interested students will have to attend an entrance test which will be conducted on February 21. The test will be based on the fundamentals of operating systems, networking, system software, data structures and programming languages.
Registration window will be open for both the courses, between January 28 and February 15. Interested candidates may register on onlinecourse.diat.ac.in, for free.
Results will be declared on February 12. Selected students will have to pay 15,000 by February 26 and the courses will commence on February 28.
